Rebex Terminal Emulation renamed to Rebex SSH Shell

SSH Shell logo

In version 7.0.8816 Rebex Terminal Emulation library has been renamed to Rebex SSH Shell.

Why are we making this change?

We believe the new name better reflects the wide range of use cases of our SSH and telnet library.

In the first versions of Rebex Terminal Emulation, most users used mainly ANSI Terminal Emulation WinForms control. As we added more features, other areas became more popular - such as API for sending simple SSH Commands, advanced scripting API for more complex scenarios, or ssh tunnels. The old name no longer matched the focus of the library and confused new users.

What's changed?

Apart from the new name, nothing has changed for current or future customers. The feature set, API and assembly names remain the same.

All users with an active support contract of Rebex Terminal Emulation are now able to download the full version of the Rebex SSH Shell from rebex.net/account/
